MENTOR ORPHANS AFRICA
(MOA)

Covid 19 has found us in a situation where we need to promote cleanliness through washing of our hands, wearing of face masks, sanitizers and social distance which are still limited.
-
The organization has managed to provide clean water for hand wash although the resources are still limited.
WITH LOVE TO MAKE A CHANGE, WE CAN DO ANYTHING TO PROVIDE A LIFE TO THESE STRIVING CHILDREN.

About 30 million Ugandans still do not have latrines, and practice open defecation i.e. the use of ponds, rivers, bushes and farms as a defecating site is widely observed. Household access to off-site sanitation system is only 1.65% (only urban cities have off-site waste water system). Diseases caused by poor sanitation are highly increasing in our community
EDUCATION CATALOGUE:
(SPONSOR A CHILD PROGRAM)
Too many children are missing out on life changing opportunities. We’re working in the Uganda’s poorest, most dangerous and hard-to-reach places to make sure children have the chance to fulfill their potential.
Millions of children never see the inside of a classroom. Others drop out because their classes are overcrowded or their teachers poorly trained.
Children in disadvantaged communities are most at risk of missing out. Many are robbed of the chance to learn because they’re a girl, or come from a poor family, or live in a rural area. And for those whose worlds have been turned upside down by conflict or environmental disaster, education offers stability and hope.
Here in Uganda, children’s lives are shaped by their education. The poorest children do less well at school than their wealthier classmates and low literacy is linked to low pay and unemployment.
This has to change. We're determined to ensure that every child, everywhere in Uganda, gets a high quality education and the chance to write their own futures. Poverty is common in Uganda. Many children become orphans due to AIDS, wars and several other life incidents. By giving a donation or becoming a sponsor for a child, you will help us give a poor child care and education. Our charity organization is very effective in terms of providing help. We believe that the only way to eradicate poverty is through education and teaching the new generation how to fight corruption. This is why we put school first. Many children out there are lacking educational intelligence and skills within their lives, many are not able to access school due to vulnerability among their lives, we try to provide these services to these dear children so that they acquire the following life assets,
-
Integrity and Positive thinking
-
Goal setting
-
Self-confidence building
-
Human relations
-
Success principle
-
How to choose and get a job

Child Sponsorship should seek to encourage stronger understanding of cultural differences, based on the assumption that the relationship between supporter, child and community is between individuals from different experiences, cultures and faiths.
-
Child Sponsorship have the potential to raise awareness in supporters and, with time, move them from a concept of dignity and strength of poor
-
people and the need for basic rights to enable poverty to be overcome. The link should also actively involve them in our campaigns to influence governments and institutions at local, national and international levels.

In order to assimilate these children into society and give the future prospects. We are making a real difference in their lives. We cannot ignore the plight of these children any more. It is time to accept our responsibility as a caring community and work to make a positive change in the lives of children. Every child has the right to education, health, equality, safety, and a joyful childhood.
One of MOA main objective is to be able to meet our commitments to the children at the schools is to look after them until they are in a position to support them-selves. This means that we have an obligation to generate sufficient reserves to meet the funding requirements needed to maintain the schools and look after the welfare of the children.
Alternatively, you can sponsor an entire project. This helps to ensure all the children benefit from an education, medical care, food and clothing. You will be helping every child to enjoy a happy and stable childhood and look forward to a brighter future. All of our medical facilities, schools and welfare centers also help the wider community.
Funding for the project comes from a few sources. With a few international volunteers from Canada, USA, UK and Germany and majorly local support from community well-wishers who
have spent time at the project and have contributed their resources and time to MOA. Modest contributions from guardians who are able to afford to do so are another source of funding for the project. MOA is actively seeking additional funding from corporations in Kampala, and is also exploring the avenue of foreign based foundation grants,
with the help of our international volunteers.
Thanks to everyone who has helped us sponsor children from our schools. If you would like to sponsor a child in our centers, now is a perfect time to do so. You can write direct to us at. for the year

FEEDING CATALOGUE:
Across east Africa, drought, war and lack of food mean millions of children and their families are facing starvation. More than 880,000 children are severely malnourished and need immediate life-saving food. Without this help, one in five of these children could die.
How will my donation help children?
Our projects are right now providing life-saving supplies and services to children at our different support projects right here in Uganda. Including refugees from several different parts of Africa that catered for and fed at our projects. We try to provide supplies of clean water, life-saving food and vaccines are helping to keep children safe from the effects of drought and conflict. Without enough food and clean water, children’s lives are in extreme danger – we need your help.
STEPS IN DEVELOPING SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAMS.
The research shows school feeding has to contribute to improving education. We have 3 schools with ‘problems’ or ‘situations’ of the school feeding program ,these schools will provide meals for all schoolchildren since all children in school throughout the day will require food. Feeding programs of any kind are expensive. Financing may include international assistance, but in all cases available public resources, or the potential to draw on them, are required. Information is also required on the community’s perceptions and capacity to participate in school feeding programs.
Feed a child at our project with $2 a day/ $50 per month or more than expected.
